Mµltifit tips are the first truly universal tips that fit virtually any pipettor. These tips are ideal for

Each tip is made from two different resins. The top collar is made of PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) which is soft and flexible for easy fit and the lower part of the tips is made from conventional Polypropylene. This soft flexible seal reduces pipettor wear but also allows the tips to fit onto worn pipettor shafts.

Recommended for Multi-Channel use, OneTouch™ Tips require minimal force to form an effective seal with almost all pipettors.  Minimal force is also required to eject the tip.

Tips volumes include:

• 10µl (1-20µl)
• 200µl (1-330µl)
• 1000µl (50-1250µl)

These extended length tips allow for increased volumes whilst maintaining the utmost precision and accuracy.

OneTouch™ tips are available in conventional polypropylene racks and environmentally friendly e·dek™ paperboard racks.

Universal Transport Medium (UTM) is ideal for the collection, transport, maintenance and long term freeze storage of Viruses, Chlamydia, Mycoplasma and Ureaplasma.  The tubes are comprised of safe, shatterproof polypropylene.  They are skirted, with an internal conical shape that allows centrifugation of the sample as well as allowing the tube to stand freely on lab surfaces.

The product can be conveniently stored at room temperature for 12 months or until such time that it is required for use.  The viability of the organism is maintained both at room temperature and on ice.

The UTM system is available in a variety of sample collection packs.  These packs can incorporate different combinations of swabs and media tubes. UTM is supplied with unique nylon flocked swabs that allow for increased sample release and sensitivity.  They are available in three variations: regular size, Minitip and flexible nasopharyngeal swabs.  Each of these has a molded breakpoint allowing for safe break off and deposit of swab sticks into transport tubes.

The media formulation within the UTM tubes includes antibiotics which inhibit bacterial and fungal flora in samples, while the three glass beads in each tube facilitate the release and dispersion of sample material and virus particles during vortexing.

Orbeco-Hellige

Lasec SA, South Africa’s Laboratory Solution Provider, has recently launched the Orbeco-Hellige range of portable water analysis instruments.

The Aqua Comparator is an accurate, easy to use test kit for water analysis.  Simply add the reagent to the sample cell, rotate the disc until the color matches the sample and read the concentration value.

The SC400 is Orbeco-Hellige’s new series of rugged, waterproof, single parameter colorimeters for laboratory or field testing.  Available in a wide range of parameters, the SC400 mainly uses powder pack and tablet chemistries, ensuring accurate doses of reagents.

The SC400 COD Set comes complete with everything you need for COD Analysis.  Simply add the sample to the Orbeco-Hellige COD tube test vial, heat it in the TR125 Thermoreactor, and then analyse the sample using the SC400 Single Parameter Colorimeter for COD.
